Day 7: La Fabrica

This morning the boys went to a coffee plantation where they learned all about the coffee making process.  Aside from touring the premises, they got to sample and buy coffee.  Needless to say, the boys were blown away by the process as well as the coffee.

Getting the morning started right

After lunch we got a VIP tour of Drew Estate.  The boys learned the details of cigar making as well as the importance of Esteli in the process.  Drew Estate seemed to resonate with the boys for several reasons including their ethical business practices as well as our guide who, like them, learned his second language in an immersion program.

Tomorrow the boys will learn about the cheese making process, swim under a waterfall, and enjoy Sr. Rivera's pool.
